The Facebook aspect of Like" … gets awkward when someone writes about painful things, and you don t mean to give a thumbs up "like" to what happened to them, what they are going through, but acknowledgement, caring, sharing. Like implies liking, not a compassion for, or similar experience. Dislike is obvious.
