I have decided with support from my psychiatrist that I am getting off lexapro which will leave me with just as needed xanax. It has been years since I have been off any meds but I was noticing that my panic attacks and nightmares have been extremely intense almost more than before I was on meds. My psychiatrist also was concerned that I was taking the max dose and that it was a lot for my age as meds usually have to increase with age. This is day two of tapering off.
