Laws or Common-sense For Treating PTSD Veteran Pandemic? My Two Cents!


The United States of America has thrown money towards solving the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) problem in returning veterans, to no evail. Is the solution to pass new laws that throw more money towards the problem, or to start using some common-sense solutions that don't require such monetary means? Intellect does not mean a person has common-sense, and this is certainly continuing to be proven with the ongoing stupidity in treating the US PTSD pandemic in veterans that's leading to 22 veteran suicides a day. Whilst enticing more psychiatrists and psychologists across to the VA system by paying their tuitions is a sound idea, the downfall to this idea is the belief that a veteran with PTSD seeing a psychiatrist once a week, fortnight or month, is going to fix their problems. Worse, this belief is often wrapped in further beliefs that throwing medication towards the veteran is the solution, as though that will make everything better for them.
