Parent Responses To Teen Suicide Attempt?

Hi everyone, I attempted suicide when I was a teenager. The hospital required me to see a child psychologist in an outpatient appointment. My Mum drove me to the appointment, and in the carpark told me not to say anything about what happens at home, or the fact that I used to cut myself, on the basis that the psychologist will only want to blow things out of proportion and will be out to ruin my father s career; and that we will be put into care i.e. the whole family would be destroyed....
