I ve known my boyfriend for 6 years and we ve been in a serious relationship for 3 years - until yesterday. His PTSD is from military service in a combat zone. I say this because I think he thinks in a military style. Most of the time our relationship is perfectly normal - happy times, both partners contributing to the relationship, etc. He does have bouts of depression and numbness about twice a year.
