I Feel Like I'm About To Die Before I Fall Asleep

Hello. It s 4:30AM-ish where I live, and just this night I had this experience that a lot of other people seem to have experienced as well. Just before I fall asleep, I feel very breathless and feel like blacking out; it feels like I m about to die. 6 hours ago, I tried to sleep 6-7 times, but every time I had to get up as the attacks came in, and in the beginning I felt a little light-chested and felt kind of dizzy, but later on it genuinely felt like I was going to die.
