Male shot by police experienced PTSD says wife


Brandon Lawrence was a dad to two young kids. He was a husband. And he was a veteran who suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder, wife Yasmine Lawrence said a day after Victoria authorities shot him outside their house. Saturday was designed to be a good day, she said. She hung out with her husband all day a large platter of chips, fish and hush puppies. Lawrence and her husband met while stationed in Alaska. The two were in the U.S. Army, and their appeal was immediate, she said. Lawrence, 23, said while she was pregnant with their very first kid, her husband deployed to Afghanistan in 2011. After their time in the military, the couple, who ve been married nearly four years, moved to his hometown, but after relocated to Victoria for a job opportunity. The couple has resided on Simpson Road for about a year along with a half at their flat. Lawrence got a job as a diesel mechanic in Port Lavaca with his wife s brother.
