I ve known that I ve had non-combat related PTSD for over a year now. I don t need to go into all the detail, as I m sure it is the shared experience of many here. However, for the basic framework, I had an abusive and alcoholic father and a distant and enabling mother. I ve been told I had all sorts of disorders... even medicated for a couple.
