Deciding To Work Or Volunteer In Potentially Retraumatizing Role Post Ptsd Diagnosis?

A friend and I used to talk using only a lyric line from a song. Usually we were already talking and then the riff would break out. "Pressure pushing down on me"

Is It Necessary To Have A Trauma T?

I ve seen this on other forums and thought I d start one here, just 5 things that are on your mind today, can be totally random, and they don t have to be questions, just 5 things you re thinking today. For example: 1. The room is way too hot. 2. I m thirsty. 3. I miss having a pet. 4. Still don t understand how tv works. 5. I think I ll start a new thread.

Why Do I Feel Bad.......?

I don t know how many others are here that off and on throughout the day, or week or so, suddenly are enlightened with a question that they may like to ask in a thread here upon the forum, or a topic of discussion that they d like to be some part of, or discuss some subject matter that they value or view as important; I know that I think of questions, (many of which are fresh) and discussion ideas all the time and then soon afterwards lose them to memory. Can't Use Prescribed Cream Without Flashbacks

After being married and perfectly hapoy--or about as close as you can get to perfect, every relationship has some bad days/times--my wife decided two days ago to just leave. She s been going diwnhillnfor a while and I ve begged her to get help but she is reluctant to talk to a therapist. She s self medicating and living dangerously, really risky stuff. I recently just decided to end a brief relationship because it was mainly causing me too much stress. I pretty much isolated myself for a short while and decided to end it. My mind has been going all over the place the last few days. I m very curious to see how new relationships affect you guys, and what your possible reasons are for ending relationships. I m aware of the stress cup. But I have a lot I m curious about. Do they trigger your symptoms? Even if you like the person a lot, do you... New Relationships/break Ups. How Do They Affect You?

Does Anyone Else Feel Like A Fraud Sometimes?

I go to therapy 5 days a week, If I were to have to give up therapy to return to work I m not sure I could handle that right now. Have my... Paranoid Or Is The Va Trying To Stiff Me???

Ok, it was a deliberately provocative clickbait title but it did catch your attention are there things that you have realised that, actually, it s not the outside world doing it to poor helpless you - it s you perpetrating the suffering on yourself, and you can damned well change that? or that the person who you ve been exhausting yourself supporting , could actually manage to find their own feet, if you d only give them the opportunity to leave their well attended... Worried Gf Trying Not To Make Things Worse

I always thought the term "sex therapist" was a little redundant. What patient doesn t get into some sexual stuff at some point in their therapy? It s in intrinsic part of your psyche, so how can psychotherapy not cover it as well as other parts? How willing have your general therapists (or trauma specialists) been to talk about sex and sexual trauma, issues, fears, obsessions, etc? At what point would you say an actual "sex therapist" becomes more appropriate? Have any therapists ever... Sex: How Willing Should A Therapist Be To Talk About It?

Hello Everyone, I m new to this site but would like to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed reading the posts on here. I have found it truly enlightening and helpful as I have embarked on a journey with a man with PTSD. My story began a year and a half ago..I met a man who ( for the first time) I could see a future with. He swept me off my feet and I had this gut instinct that he was someone who I wanted to spend the rest of my life getting to know. We dated for 3 months. He lives an hour...
