"It s not true; it s just how you feel. It s your perception, but it s not the way it is." In other words, it s all in my mind. I m imagining my reality to be true, but it s not real because it s just how I feel. This is my husband s way of telling me that he is not invalidating me. Instead, he is allowing me to have my own feeling and reality, as long as I don t think it means that I m right and he s wrong. To argue this is to invalidate him! Such a paradox!
