I have PTSD related to my police service and have been in and out of various treatments since 2009. About 9 weeks ago I started seeing and EMDR therapist once a week. At the start she told me that she felt the number of sessions she was authorised to offer, 12 max, would be enough to treat me with EMDR as it would leave loose ends! Instead she didnt focus on the trauma but we used EMDR to get to a safe place in my mind. This was working until yesterday! She decided out of the blue to focus... Emdr - What Went Wrong?
