Traumatic events, economic struggles may threaten women’s heart health


Traumatic life events including the passing of a loved one or life threatening sickness raised the likelihood of a heart attack by more than 65 percent among middle aged and elderly girls no matter heart disease risk factors or socioeconomic status, according to new research presented in the Caliber of Care and Outcomes Study 2015 Scientific Sessions. Emotional pressure is understood to lead to the danger of cardiovascular disease as well as heart attack, but in this study researchers looked at what kinds of anxiety had major effect on heart health in middle aged and elderly women by comparing women who had suffered heart attacks to girls who hadn t.
