Don t know if my increased blood pressure is related to him having ptsd, but it happened after he became symptomatic. I am also 50. Anyway, my blood pressure was ok in the spring but was high in Oct. It never went back down, so I was started on a low dose calcium channel blocker. It was also to help my tachycardia, aka fast heart rate. Since I started the meds about 2 weeks ago, I ve been having nightmares. I take it at bedtime, a very low dose. I ve also noticed no decrease in my bp or heart... Blood Pressure Meds And Nightmares
