I have a very dis functional family. When my husband was in the hospital and it became clear he would not get better my sister and I had one of our last conversations. I could hear in her voice behind all the false words of trying to be her version of compassionate a slick, gollum like pleasure in my pain. She wanted details and I KNEW things had changed. What they changed to was all too familiar and I knew it was time to cut off contact. I d already cut contact with my brothers and father.... Breaking Away
