Gutted, Need Advice On How To Deal

I have different issues that overwhelm me, and now it is my cat. I thought he was about to die about a week ago because he lost over a pound in one week and appeared dazed. The vet gave him a shot and several more medications for nausea and an appetite stimulant. I finally realized he has inflammatory bowel disease that gets worse and better but never goes away.
