So long story short, I m pretty sure I will be fired by the end of the week. I took an amazing freelance opportunity that allowed me to travel and work for two weeks instead of attending a board meeting and it s being held against me. I was also called a liar by my boss (this came out in conversation about some other related things) and it s now my word against his. Given that he s my superior, I won t win this game. Now I m terrified about getting fired and never getting rehired by anyone... Fired.
